Abstract

Small and medium business sector is becoming the main focus of economy development strategy in the Republic of Serbia. Since the transition period lasts for almost two decades, it is of high importance for the society to plan deeply investment capacities. While SMEs and entrepreneurship development process is happening, some industry branches become prioritization for the potential investors. The paper analyses de facto situation the country is facing in the last three years of the transition process, considering both industry branches and expected effects of built capacities. The authors collected a sample of 68 projects and found interesting results which have been presented in this paper.
