Abstract
Although the majority of graduate schools of social work now offer at least one course in human sexuality, too often instructors lean heavily on a lecture approach. The authors contend that this approach does not adequately meet students' needs. They suggest using the small-group process to deal more effectively with the three basic elements of such a course: knowledge base, affective component, and specific skills of assessment and treatment.
