Abstract

A small magnetic field, applied either parallel or perpendicular to the direction of Mössbauerγ-rays,is produced on an absorber by two Mössbauer sample-holders. Thesample-holders constitute a convenient and affordable way to obtain theexperimental conditions necessary for interpreting the paramagneticMössbauer spectra of Kramers iron systems. An application of the twosample-holders is illustrated by the study of a high-spin Fe(III) complex (S = 5/2).
