Abstract

Recent years have seen a revival of interest in the question of the nosological significance of sleep and wakening paralysis (cataplexy). The majority of writers regard these disturbances as among the symptoms of Jelineau's narcolepsy. However, analysis of the literature data, and our own observations, indicate that this syndrome cannot always be classified with the manifestations of narcolepsy.
