Abstract

Abstract Exoelectron emitting BeO thin film detectors were covered with polycarbonate foils of different thicknesses from 1.9-19.2 mg.cm-2 and exposed to 147Pm, 204Tl and 90Sr-90Y beta sources. Even for low energy beta rays from 147Pm the dependence of their dose response on foil thickness corresponded to the depth dose in soft tissue.
