Most pets and creatures in the world face threats from various types of disease. Skin diseases can be considered as a leading threat among those diseases. Veterinarian surgeons and other related health professionals are unable to handle these situations properly due to factors such as heavy crowds in pet clinics, lack of veterinarians, or no veterinarians in rural areas. Therefore, pets and their owners face many problems, and it affects pet owners’ busy lifestyles and pets suffer from severe conditions of those skin diseases. The purpose of this work is to propose the use of machine learning-based image processing, deep learning, and natural language processing with artificial intelligence for the detection, verification, and confirmation of skin diseases prevail in pets and provide the highly recommended home remedies as treatment methods for them. In this work, we chose dogs as the selected pet and conducted the study using the technologies mentioned above to build the mobile application called “HAPPY PET”. This study proposes disease identification using image recognition with machine learning by analyzing large amounts of images, followed by disease verification, and confirmation using a deep learning model. Further confirmation of the verified disease is done by AI chatbot, that asks number of unique questions about symptoms and the unexpected behavioral patterns of the pets from pet owners. Ultimately, it provides the highly recommended home remedies as valuable treatment methods. As a result, pet owners can take care of their pets conveniently without wasting precious time.
