Abstract

The dense interstitial structure of tumors often prevents further penetration and internalization into the central region in drug delivery by the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect. In this issue of Chem, Tan et al. report a nucleic-acid-based micelle that undergoes size transformation to resolve the conflict between the EPR effect and spatially uniform tumor penetration.
