Six New Sesquiterpenes from Eupatorium lindleyanum

Abstract

AbstractThe six new germacrane‐type sesquiterpenoid lactones 1–6 were isolated from the CHCl3 extract of Eupatorium lindleyanum DC. The structures of these compounds were determined by spectroscopic analyses, including interpretation of 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR spectra. Compounds 1–6 were tested for cytotoxicity against NB4 and K562 leukemia cell lines, showing that 2 and 5 possess potent cytotoxicity (Table 3).
