Abstract

Objective To investigate the situation of postnatal depression and related factors among primipara of Beijing city,so as to provide psychological nursing and ensure their psychological safety.Methods Totals of 300 primipara in Beijing obstetrics and gynecology hospital were recruited between March and April 2012 and were investigated with self-designed general information questionnaire and Postpartum Depression Scale (PDSS).Results among 300 primipara,43 cases(14.3%) had postnatal depression.The incidence of postnatal depression of age stage 20-25,26-30,31-40,and more than 40 (years older)respectively was 50.00%,14.97%,12.00%,and 0.00%,and the difference was statistically significant (0.00%,9.09%,0.53%,17.68% ;x2 =16.536,P <0.05).As well as primipara with different education degree had significantly different postnatal depression incidence (x2 =15.944,P < 0.01).And significant difference was found in the whether the primipara was Beijing permanent or breast feeding (P < 0.05).Logistic regresresults showed that the influencing factor of the postnatal depression incidence were age and breast feeding.Conclusions The incidence of postnatal depression of primipara is high,and we should pay more attention on the primipara with low age,higher education degree,breast feeding not good,non-Beijing permanent.And it is necessary to take corresponding nursing care so as to make sure their mental safety.
