Abstract

A 46-year-old woman presented with acute obstructive uropathy. Examination revealed a large mobile pelvic mass. CT scan showed a large pelvic mass, bilateral hydronephrosis and hydroureter, and a mass in the umbilicus (Figure). At laparotomy, a mobile 14 12 cm ovarian mass was identified. Hysterectomy with bilateral salpingooophorectomy was performed. Histological assessment showed a high-grade papillary serous adenocarcinoma of the ovary with extensive metastasis.
