Abstract

In present era, the worldwide concern is moving towards the renewable energy sources (RESs) such as solar, wind, geothermal, Tidal etc. Conventional energy sources, especially depend on fossil fuels, are finite and poor for the environment; they cause pollution, hazardous waste, and global warming. Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) based electricity generation outpaces other RESs due to its accessibility and minimal maintenance requirements. SPV is subject to restrictions caused by atmospheric variables like temperature and insolation. Utility grid integration of solar PV generation is gaining prevalent in India. In this article, a 10 KW single stage and single-phase PV grid integration is presented via single-phase voltage source inverter (VSI), synchronized with phase locked loop (PLL). The single stage PV grid integration offer lower switching losses as compared to Double Stage PV grid integration. For obtaining the maximum power from solar PV system, a INC algorithm is used that fed to grid via VSI for converting DC to AC and maintaining the power quality. The mathematical modelling and design of PV grid integration is validated under standard test and dynamic test condition and verified in MATLB /SIMULINK.
