Abstract

Twenty-one HPGe detectors with a crystal volume of 60–256 cm 3 were used to explore the dependence of the single-to-double-escape peak ratio on the detector size. The variations of the escape peak ratio as functions of both relative efficiency and crystal volume of HPGe detectors are quantitatively described and the geometric influence on the ration is also discussed for the coaxial detectors with the D H ratio within the range of 0.85–1.44.
