Abstract

• The core-multishell fiber is prepared by a layer-by-layer dip-coating method. • Simultaneous light and thermal emission behaviors are achieved. • Waterproof and woven textile applications are presented. Here, we report multifunctional core-multishell fibers that simultaneously exhibit light and thermal emission, waterproofing and high stability. The fibers feature outstanding auxiliary heating ability with a broad temperature range and high durability and stable light emission colored from white to blue or yellow. The fibers are washable and maintain light-thermal performance, and weaving these fibers into textiles can regulate the color and temperature for human health care and satisfaction.
