Abstract
In the paper, a model analysis is given to operation of an active microwave power compressor consisting of a waveguide storage resonator and interference switch commutated by the conductivity variation in the local region inside of it. Dynamics of the transient processes that occur during switching the storage resonator from the power accumulation mode to the mode of power release into an offtake waveguide is analyzed. The obtained numerical estimates of the power amplification factor are close to the theoretical limit. The shape and length of the compressed pulse obtained in the numerical simulation are close to the desirable ones. To provide more accurate reconstruction of the time profile of the output signal, further optimization of the compressor geometry is required.
