Abstract

AbstractResults from simulations of the Rosenbluth‐Hinton initial value problem for different stellarator configurations using the global gyrokinetic code EUTERPE are shown. Especially the influence of an external radial electric field on the residual flow level is investigated. It is found that generally an external field can lead to an increase in the flow levels for small to moderate Mach numbers (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
