Abstract

The mathematical model, used in the FEMGR code, for the deformation of the graphite columns in a RBMK core with channel tubes in the presence of dynamic and short-time static effects is presented. The mathematical model takes account of the structural features of the columns of the fuel channels and the channels of the control and protection system as well as the influence of securing fixture in the channel-tube passages. The effect of the mass of the structural elements of columns and channels on the deformation dynamics, the pressure inside the channel tubes, and the mass of the bottom water lines, which results in tensile-shear bending of the channels, is taken into account. The effect of friction on the deformation of the columns, the contact interaction of the channel tubes with the graphite elements of the columns, and the contact interaction between graphite blocks of neighboring columns with one another is simulated.
