Abstract
Application of the principle of singular perturbation to the simulation of electric power system dynamics is studied. The proposed method is used in place of Newton's method to simultaneously solve the difference equations and algebraic equations in implicit integration techniques. It is much faster than Newton's method per step when the step is the proper length. This method also has high accuracy. >
