Abstract
Ultrasonic transducers are being used in systems where targets are evaluated by interpretation of the reflected signals. This project aims at providing a prototype of Piezoelectric composite Ultrasonic transducer. This type of transducer is particularly applied in monitoring systems specifically for level monitoring. Since the ultrasonic transducers are designed at micro scale, it can be used to create a network with other sensors and actuators for establishing a system for monitoring and controlling parameters in aerospace applications. A 3D modelling of the structure is obtained; finally frequency analysis of the device is performed. Sensitivity of the structure when subjected to three different proof mass materials are presented. This is done by plotting the Susceptance of the device.
