Abstract
Analysis of various H-Bridge Inverter Topologies like traditional full H Bridge, Modified H Bridge, Series/Parallel network employed H Bridge, Developed H-Bridge, Modified Developed H Bridge employed in cascaded Multi-level inverter is detailed. Here the comparison is mainly based on the number of voltage levels at the output, number of input DC Sources, number of power semiconductor switches, a variety of blocking voltage across the power semiconductor switches, number of switches ON during all the modes of operation and finally total harmonic distortion. Here the number of DC sources, number of power semiconductor switches and a variety of blocking voltage across the power switches are dependent on the topologies, but the number of output voltage levels and total harmonic distortion depends on the modulation methods used in the inverter. The performance of various H Bridge topologies has been simulated using MATLAB/Simulink.
