Abstract
Based on finite element method, cold sawing temperature field is analyzed theoretically. With AdvantEdge finite element physics simulation software platform, we used the single-factor method to simulate and analyze the milling temperature and milling force that are caused to change with the rake angle, relief angle, feed per tooth and rotating speed. It concluded that rake angle, feed per tooth, and rotating speed have great influences on temperature field of new cold saw blade milling cutter. Rake angle and feed per tooth have great influences on the force of the new cutter. Relief angle has little influence on MT&MF. Using the simulation results, the new cutter is compared with traditional hot saw. The maximum milling temperature achieved during milling is 318.09 °C for the new cutter, with above 750 °C for the counterpart.
