Abstract

No-carrier-added (NCA) l-3-iodo-α-methyl tyrosine was prepared in a kit-like procedure by: (a) iodogen oxidation; and (b) purification by selective elution from a reversed phase Sep-Pak cartridge. This simple method gives rise to radiochemical yields of 69 ± 4% with a radiochemical purity of more than 99%, and is suitable for injection. The preparation time is less than 15 min.
