Abstract
This technical working paper presents a model suggesting that the development of a satellite military system, when once in place, would not be more efficient in terms of required military expenditures of the U.S. than a land-based military operation (system). Hence, if not basically modified to incorporate suggestions for change, the model indicates that the large requirements for development expenditures on a satellite military system would be a clear waste of funds for a technologically superior nation such as U.S. is currently. These funds could be more usefully spent to develop a more effective means to police the global system.
