Abstract

Spectral properties of water vapour are thoroughly investigated in the gas temperature range 600-2400K and P^L range of 0.01-lOatm m. Regression modelling of spectral band properties (absorption coefficient (fc,-), lower (A/,;) and upper (Â ) wavelength limits) derived from an Edwards wide band model is carried out. Results of enclosure calculations using Edwards wide band model and the regression models in a banded zone method and a weighted sum of grey gases model in a standard zone method are presented. These show that good agreement has been achieved for the regression model.
