Abstract

Spectral properties of pure carbon dioxide are thoroughly investigated in the gas temperature range 600–2400 K and P a L range of 0.01–10 atm m. Regression modelling of spectral band properties (absorption coefficient ( k i ), lower ( λ l, i ) and upper ( λ u, i ) wavelength limits) derived from an Edwards wide band model is carried out. Comparisons of the regression models in a banded zone method and a weighted sum of grey gases model for carbon dioxide with Edwards wide band model are presented which show that good agreement has been achieved for the regression model.
