Simple Mobile Warehouse System for Microsoft Dynamics Navision ERP System

Abstract

The paper describes a methodology for creating a simple modular warehouse system involving novel structures and modifications of existing mobile frameworks. The novelty of the presented approach is the platform independence and simplicity of the architecture, simple prototype of a GUI and platform independent layer communication model. The proposed methodology is illustrated on the example of a real model application which was designed for a private company. The system described and created is intended for use over Dynamics Navision ERP system. A lot of these topics may be considered challenging in the future research of business application development in general, either for desktop, web or mobile platforms. Since prospects in the field of mobile applications and mobile business solutions (m-business) are really promising for all leading PDA/tablet platforms, there is an expectation of a rising demand in the next years.
