Abstract

A simple positioning method is proposed to easily implement a circular subaperture stitching test when the tested optics can be covered by one circle subapertures. In this situation, the border of the phase data image is used to locate the position of the subapertures. The simulation results show that it can provide pixel-level positioning accuracy when the quality of the data image is good. Furthermore, an optimization algorithm is introduced to reduce the positioning error and minimize the mismatch in the overlapping area. Finally, we study the applicability of this method to a subaperture stitching test of a parabolic surface. The stitching results are consistent with the full-aperture test results.
