Abstract
A new simple and accurate approximate electrostatic relativistic dispersion relation for electron Bernstein waves in a Maxwellian plasma has been obtained. The relativistic relation is valid for an arbitrary value of parallel refractive index. Comparisons with corresponding exact formulae are given.
