Abstract
The complexity of phenomenological models originates mainly from the large number of parameters of the nucleon resonances used to describe the process. Nevertheless, there exists a mechanism to simplify the models, i.e., by estimating the role of each resonance in the process and excluding the resonances that have small contributions. This is the motivation of our study; the contribution of nucleon resonances in our recent model. We have constructed a model for K+Λ photoproduction by using an effective Lagrangian method. Using this model, we attempt to calculate the contribution of individual nucleon resonances in this process. We show the contribution by utilizing the relative difference of χ2/N obtained from including and excluding a certain resonance. The result is compared with those of previous studies and used as a reference for simplifying the model.
