Abstract

Intraocular biopsy is an important method of preoperative ophthalmic diagnosis. It can provide an objective basis for precise treatment of diseases, and has important guiding significance in the diagnosis of eye diseases, the selection of treatment strategies and the anticipation of prognosis. Eye biopsy technology has not yet been widely carried out to date in our country, and ophthalmologists should attach great importance to the role of intraocular biopsy in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. Ophthalmologists should particularly improve the success rate of intraocular biopsy by strengthening the standardization of material sampling; facilitate the guiding effect of eye biopsy on the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of eye diseases through efficient cooperation between clinician and pathologist; to improve the sensitivity and specificity of intraocular biopsy through organized combination of traditional cellular pathology with molecular pathology.
