Abstract

While designing high speed systems signal integrity is a major issue that requires great consideration from researchers and engineers alike. In this paper, the importance of signal integrity in high speed system designing has been discussed by pointing out the major key factors effecting signal integrity. Extensive issues of signal integrity especially crosstalk in printed circuit design (PCB) and signal quality in high speed transmission are highlighted. Different simulation EDA tools are presented, which can be good candidates in designing high speed systems and signal integrity analysis. Mentor Graphic product Hyper Lynx is used as a simulation tool to simulate signal integrity analysis by eye diagram and crosstalk analysis in printed circuit design.
