Abstract

Aiming at the Signal Integrity Analysis for 10Gb/s photoelectric links, the VCSEL model has been made based on the thermal rate equation and measured curves, and the behavior model of the whole optical links has been established. Secondly, the behavior model has been transformed into the IBIS-AMI model, which has been added into the whole photoelectric links as the redriver model. The electromagnetic parameters of the high interconnect on the PCB has been exacted, and the simulation model of whole photoelectric links has been built. Compared with the measured eye diagram, the simulation results have been more accurately. The relative error of the simulated eye height is 4.5 %, and the error of the simulated eye width is 7.5 %. The analysis method proposed in this paper could effectively predict and guide the analysis of signal attenuation and distortion in high-speed serial links, and which can extensively to analysis the signal integrity of the inter-board photoelectric high-speed photoelectric links.
