Abstract

The aim of the Narrowband-IoT (NB-IoT) technology is deployed to provide massive connections in IoT cellular technologies and this technology was released by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) in Release-13(R-13). This is one of the secured spectrum Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWANs) because it provides low energy and conveys the information over a wide area with the authentication process and also, NB-IoT utilized for low complexity IoT devices. The main intention of the NB-IoT is used to extend coverage compared to legacy wireless communication technologies such as WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, etc. Hence, to achieve this extended coverage parameter, alter retransmission numbers, Bandwidth, and Resource Units (RUs) using Signal to Noise ratio, Bandwidth Efficiency, and Energy per Transmitted bits in uplink transmission and also, analyze the impact of transmission time, bandwidth and retransmission numbers for Maximum Coupling Loss (MCL). Moreover, we intend to introduce a link adaptation algorithm for increasing coverage in uplink transmission.
