Abstract
This paper gives a basic study of Sickle effect which is a new concept developed through combination of product life cycle (PLC) and supply chain management (SCM). Various studies were being done in the field of sustainable manufacturing (SM) majorly to design a product which can be environmentally sustainable. This present concept gives a basic idea of any product which goes through various stages of PLC and represents the amount of product that can be recycled.
