Abstract
With reference to two batches of rotors, the discussion of component development results shows the problem areas in the fabrication, quality inspection and testing of ceramic radial rotors. Following the evaluation of the present results, future development work must concentrate on the improvement of - material quality (microstructure, strength) - component fabrication, i.e. injection molding - binder removal - sintering - mechanical finishing - joining techniques.
