Abstract

This paper presents an efficient implementation of the decorrelating detector for DS/CDMA based upon a new strategy for solving its tridiagonal structured equations when the block of bits of each user is large enough. To this end the user signatures must satisfy several conditions that are stated in the paper. The detector is made up with a set of correlators followed by a transversal structure whose parameters are invariant. The length of this structure is shortened at the expense of introducing some multiuser interference whose bound is obtained. Several numerical simulations have been done which validate the theoretical conclusions and show that the detector can deal with many users simultaneously.
