Abstract

A 77year-old man was admitted to our Institution with the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma of the cardia. The patient had no history of pulmonary or cardiac disease. In the past he had been a heavy smoker, he had undergone distal gastric resection for duodenal ulcer, but he did not complain of any pulmonary symptoms.
