Abstract

Effect of short range order on the electronic density of states and localization in disordered alloys has been studied. Self-consistent pair-calculations have been performed on disordered binary alloys possessing cubic structure and short range order has been introduced in the averaging procedure. Promising agreement has been found with the qualitative arguments given by Lifshitz.
