Abstract
Sea shore or shoreline modification is one of the most common concern among natural processes that prevail upon coastal areas. The most important aspect in coastal areas is identifying the location and change over time of shoreline. This can be accomplished by frequent monitoring of the shoreline using satellite imagery over time. This study will evaluate short term shoreline modification from 2016 to 2018 in half yearly interval in Gulf of Khambhat. Following analysis is carried out using ArcGIS and Remote Sensing datasets from USGS. The proposed study and map prepared in the research will contribute to shoreline protection measures. This work will useful for forecasting the future trends and planning mitigation measures.
