USN The author is currently assigned as Project Officer for Aircraft Carriers in the Hull Design Branch-, Bureau of Ships. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree at the United States Naval Academy in 1948 and a Master of Science Degree in Naval Architecture at Webb Institute of Naval Architecture in 1953. The article presents the essentials of a fire fighting training course given by the author to the crew of the USS RANDOLPH (CVS-15) while serving in the Gold “E” winning Engineering Department from 1959 to 1963.
