HOBAICA has a bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Institue of Technology (1949) and a master of Science degree from Syracuse University (1959), both in Chemical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut and is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Sigma Xi, Phi Lambda Upsilon. Mr. Hobaica has been with the Research and Development Department of General Dynamics/Electric Boat since 1958. He is presently supervisor of the Non-Metallics Group which is responsible for the application engineering of non-metallic materials in the many types of submersibles under design and construction at Electric Boat.
