Abstract
We have performed shell model Monte Carlo (SMMC) calculations of even–even, odd- A and odd–odd nuclei in the mass A ∼ 70 region as function of temperature. The calculations have been performed in the complete ( p f − g d s ) shell using a pairing + quadrupole residual interaction. We calculate the level densities for these nuclei and investigate the influence of pairing correlations.
