Abstract The Side Effects of Drugs Annual is a series of volumes in which the adverse effects of drugs and adverse reactions to them are surveyed. The series supplements the contents of Meyler's Side Effects of Drugs: The International Encyclopedia of Adverse Drug Reactions and Interactions. This review of the January 2018 to December 2018 publications on sex hormones and related compounds covers various classes of sex hormones including hormonal contraceptives, gonadotropins, clomiphene citrate, testosterone, anabolic steroids, androgens, androgen deprivation therapy, and anti-androgens. This review also covers miscellaneous hormones of various classes of endocrine drugs, including calcimimetics, human recombinant growth hormone (somatotropin), growth hormone receptor antagonists (pegvisomant), melatonin, oxytocin and analogues, somatostatin and analogues, desmopressin, and vasopressin receptor antagonists.
