Abstract

Heart failure (HF) is a highly prevalent disease, causing significant morbidity and mortality in both men and women. Current guidelines recommend that patients diagnosed with HF during hospitalization be referred to an outpatient HF clinic within two weeks of discharge. We conducted a scoping review to identify potential sex differences in the referral of these patients to ambulatory HF clinics.
