Abstract

Abstract Six similar cases of moderate to severe illness after exposure to natural measles in children previously vaccinated against the disease are described. It is suggested that an Arthus-type antigen-antibody reaction is responsible for the clinical features observed. There is evidence that inactivated measles vaccine may be the causative factor.
