Abstract

Discusses the problems encountered in setting up a semi-automatic system of time-domain reflectometry, and presents some solutions. The study of the dielectric relaxation of some alcohols-with well-known absorption spectra-shows the validity of the system. As an application the authors have measured the main dielectric relaxation of pentanol isomers at 25 degrees C.
