Abstract
Accordingly to the studies of the German Critical Theory, it is intended to answer the question: the reflections of Critical Theory may apply to the actual society? The article catalogs some data related to Brazil, such as the data published in 2014 by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, which brings Brazil in the first position in the world ranking by amount of aesthetic plastic surgeries. The discussion arrives at the conflict between the Brazilian capitalism and the right to cognitive autonomy of woman.
