Abstract

In this paper, a sequential experimental design strategy is developed for precise kinetic parameters estimation using the D-optimality criterion. The influence of batch or fed-batch mode on the accuracy of kinetic parameters of a consecutive competitive reaction scheme is studied. The kinetic parameters are estimated by the maximum likelihood estimator. The standard nonlinear programming SQP (Successive Quadratic Programming) ensures the determination of optimal experimental operating conditions.
