Abstract

Automated fluorescent DNA sequencing (, , ) has turned into a subject of great interest during the last few years, and has successfully been applied to large-scale sequencing projects, like sequencing of the human HPRT gene locus (). Most actual genome sequencing efforts, such as sequencing the C. elegans genome, are performed on automated devices.
