Abstract

Sequence analyses have been performed on 11 long-chainlength oligonucleotides isolated from RNase T 1 digests of tobacco mosaic virus ribonucleic acid. The chainlengths of these oligonucleotides range from 14–72 nucleotides. The structures of six oligonucleotides have been determined, including one that corresponds to a portion of the amino acid sequence in the coat protein. Partial sequences have been established for the remaining five.
