Abstract

Sepsis occurs when the body's response to the infection causes damage to its own tissues and organs and can cause the significant deterioration of the patient's condition and even his death. It is estimated to affect more than 30 million people each year and can kill 6 million people. This problem is quite typical for low- and middle-income countries. According to the WHO, sepsis occurs annually in 3 million newborns and 1.2 million of children.
